Make Care Matter

Be extraordinary and give someone a new lease of life, it could be the best thing you have ever done!

If someone needs a little bit of support to get back on their feet, a period of reablement can help them get used to doing things for themselves again. Reablement encourages people to regain the skills and confidence they need to carry out daily tasks themselves whilst continuing to live at home.

We are currently looking for a reablement worker to join our two teams, one covering the covering Northallerton, Leeming and surrounding villages.  Shift patterns include a range of early shifts (approx. 7am-2pm) / late shifts (approx. 2pm-10pm) and weekend patterns of every other working.

Given the nature of the role you must have the ability to travel across own and neighbouring teams to work in the homes of adults with care & support needs.

As a reablement worker you will play a pivotal role in enabling each individual to achieve their personal goals and regain their health and independence. Through your passion and commitment you’ll be helping people to see what’s possible and supporting them to achieve things they thought were impossible.

Maintaining dignity, choice and control, respecting human rights and maximising the independence and wellbeing of those you support is the core of your role. The ability to communicate, interact and relate to different people is key – one of the benefits of the role is the variety and diversity of the people you will meet and work with including relatives, friends, and other professionals from the Health and Voluntary sector.

If you’ve got experience, that’s great, we’d love to hear from you. If not, don’t worry, we’ll give you all the help and support you need to settle in quickly. If you do not already hold the Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care that isn’t a problem we will support you to achieve this through our apprenticeship training route.

There is an element of flexibility required for the role and as part of a 7 day service, on a rota basis, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends for which we will pay an enhancement. We could help you to achieve a better work life balance, perhaps enabling you to pursue other employment, hobbies or interests outside of work.

Our people are our greatest asset and here are just some of the ways we show them how much we appreciate them:

• Significant training and learning

• Opportunities for career development into other roles

• DBS clearance paid for by us

• Pay based on experience and qualifications, with the opportunity for progression

• Paid enhancements for weekend and night working

• Generous mileage allowance paid for any travel incurred as part of the role (45p per mile)

• Generous holiday entitlement starting at 24 days per year, increasing by length of service

• Access to a secure and flexible employee pension scheme
