Role: Sales Manager
Location: Hybrid Working. Thirsk Office
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000, plus bonus, plus company car or car allowance
About You
Are you an ambitious and focussed leader, capable of inspiring and supporting a team of sales experts in a growing industry? We are looking for a manager with the positive attitude and target driven passion to help grow and shape our sales team through strategic coaching and management approaches.
Joining our commercial management team, we have clear vision of where our company wants to be, and we need you to have the understanding, knowledge and people management skills to be able to get us there. You will have excellent customer service skills, being able to confidently build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, as well as new and existing brokerages.
Responsible for a team of experienced sales and telesales executives, you will ensure they have the resource and focus to generate targeted growth and revenue generation to our new clients in North Yorkshire.
You will be able to demonstrate proven sales management success in a competitive sector. You will show an ability to carry out employee development and performance management, while supporting and coaching through annual performance reviews and regular one to one’s.

In return, we are offering a salary of between £30,000 to £35,000 per year depending on experience, complete with company car or car allowance up to £433 per month, plus company benefits, discounts, pension and bonus. We are also pleased to offer 23 days annual holiday, plus bank holiday entitlements, rising to 28 days with 5 years’ service.
This is a permanent role working full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The main office location will be Thirsk, however we do currently operate a hybrid-working model allowing working from home and other office locations as part of your working week.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, it is essential that the successful candidate have a valid driver’s licence due to the nature of the responsibilities at different geographical locations.
As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
· Professional sales experience, including business-to-business field sales, territory management and cold calling.
· Management experience, ideally sales management,
· Proven to deliver excellent customer service,
· Knowledge of market analysis and development of marketing strategies,
· Understanding of legislative procedure,
· Great organisational skills,
· Some knowledge of the waste industry, specifically trade waste.
