Our HR Shared Service Tea, (HRSST) currently have a great opportunity to join them as a HR Adviser (casework). The HRSST are part of the HR service at NYCC providing a HR enquiry service via phone and email and HR casework support to all of the four directorates within North Yorkshire County Council and a number of external customers. Not only do we provide advice and guidance to managers we also help to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence in managing their staffing issues. We are a small, busy team normally based at County Hall in Northallerton but currently all of our team are largely working from home thanks to the great technology and IT kit we are provided. The ability to travel across the county to deliver our service when required is however essential.
As HR Adviser you will provide support to directorates in relation to HR policies, procedures, terms and conditions. You will also support managers to develop their skills through the provision of quality professional advice, support and where appropriate coaching on low risk staff management issues. A great communicator you will develop and maintain effective relationships with managers and staff, stakeholders (inside and outside of NYCC) and HR colleagues to ensure service delivery.
