Salary: Up to £35,745 per annum

Our roles allow a flexible approach to working. Whilst work can be undertaken from your home base, there will be a requirement to attend the office on occasions due to service need. While virtual working is promoted as a modern and efficient way of delivering services, the need for face-to-face visits will also be required at times. With this flexibility in mind, we encourage people to apply who might wish to work more flexibly or alternative hours (for example at weekends).
Our Occupational Therapy teams are a key part of our overall adult social care service which is an exciting and friendly place of work, committed to delivering services to its local community and providing opportunities for our local residents.
As an Occupational Therapist, your focus will be to maximise the independence and safety of people in North Yorkshire who have social care needs using a person centred approach. You will also play a key role in supporting people and carers who have been assessed as being in need through the provision of advice, support, equipment and adaptations to develop appropriate support plans to meet preferred outcomes within specified resources. You will be looking for innovative solutions to people's needs and promoting strength based assessment and support in people’s communities and well as assisting people with care and support needs, working to develop creative solutions.

We ask that you have a professional Occupational Therapist qualification or are in the process of qualifying and registering with the HCPC and have a comprehensive knowledge of current legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Equalities Act, Deprivation of Liberty, Best Interest Assessments, Moving and Handling Regulations and the Mental Health Act.
