Educational Psychologists (Senior Practitioner)

Salary: Soulbury A (2 to 7), £39,062 to £48,383, plus access to up to three SPA points
Location: Posts are available in the four hubs across the county in Selby; Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and Craven; Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale; and Hambleton and Richmondshire.

We have exciting opportunities for Educational Psychologists across the county and we are looking for individuals who would enjoy working within hubs with a focus on multi-disciplinary approaches.

Opportunities will exist for early intervention as well as statutory work, together with opportunities for working with other establishments and local authorities as part of a traded arm to the service. 

You will need to have:

  • A masters or doctorate level qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the HCPC;
  • Experience of varied and relevant work with children, young people and their families in a number of education and other settings; and
  • Creative and forward thinking, with the knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and willingness to use psychological frameworks to facilitate positive change.

Educational Psychologists in North Yorkshire will have the opportunity to lead on specific development areas of SEND, which will further inform practice and strategy across SEND. These posts are suitable for Educational Psychologists at any stage in their career, including those qualifying in September 2020.
