As a Housing Support Assistant you will support people to gain independent living skills and provide positive activities in a residential setting.
You will be joining our small and enthusiastic team, to help people improve their lives, by providing support and opportunities for a more positive future. You will work with the other officers in the operational delivery of housing related support and resettlement.
Derwent Lodge is a supported Housing project based in Norton, Malton available to those in housing need aged 16 or over.
You will assist in providing a responsive, effective and confidential client based support service and assist residents within the project to make a positive, planned move into independent accommodation.
To assist residents to access employment opportunities and contribute to the general upkeep of the project. The post holder will have experience of working within a team, the ability to communicate effectively and to deal with clients that are often vulnerable and experiencing chaotic lifestyles. The post holder must be able to remain resilient and confident throughout their role. Training will be provided.
Additional hours may also be available to cover holidays or sickness.
This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
