Salary: £18,865 to £20,013 per annum pro-rated to number of hours worked and weeks paid
Hours per week: 31 hours 50 minutes per week, term time only

Applefields School are seeking to recruit two Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work at our main school site.
The post provides general classroom support to students with autism, profound complex learning needs, learning and communication difficulties and social and emotional difficulties. The school runs a primary model and students work in classes of mixed age ranges.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the staffing team supporting our students’ access to the curriculum and the development of their literacy, numeracy and personal and social independence skills.
The ideal candidate will:
● Be child centred in their approach to education
● Be committed to helping our students achieve the very best and become as independent as possible
● Be able to provide effective support for the development of the students’ communication
● Be able to develop strong relationships to support the development of the students’ personal and social independence skills
● Support students with their personal care and welfare needs
● Be confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
● Be a strong advocate of inclusion
● Be confident to accept responsibility and work independently, able to demonstrate initiative and have flexible attitude to the challenging demands of working with children and young people with additional and complex needs
● Be able to work collaboratively
Have a high level of personal resilience
Grade 4 Level 1-4 (£18,865 to £20,013 per annum) reduced pro-rata to number of hours and weeks worked.
