We have an opportunity for you to join the team working at one of our schools where your dedication to the role will enhance the children’s learning environment. Wistow Primary School, Wistow, Selby YO8 3UU, is a friendly family orientated school where the children learn about good behaviour and respect to others.
Working for NYCC as a Caretaker, your duties will include key holding, stores ordering as well as ensuring outside areas are kept safe and clean. You will support the maintenance of the building by checking and replacing light fittings, assisting with minor repairs and replacing consumables. You will also have responsibility for monitoring the heating system and reporting any faults to the location manager. The school will require closing at the end of the shift in the evening and full training will be provided. The hours can be worked on a morning before school or an evening after school, between 7.00 am and 8.00 am or 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm with some flexibility, daily and totalling to 5 per week over 5 days. No weekend work! For this you will be paid £9.43 per hour.
