Salary: £22,627-£30,451
Hours: Full Time, permanent
Location: Flexible with expectation to attend offices in North Yorkshire when required.
Here at North Yorkshire County Council our Technology and Change Department plays a vital part in improving and developing services across the whole Council for the benefit of our customers and staff. Our Team is responsible for a wide range of technologies including endpoint management, VDI, email, firewall/ADC, networking and telephony.
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Unified Communications, Endpoint and Security Team within Technology and Change. We’re looking for an individual who has experience in providing 2nd line, day to day support of the technologies that the team are responsible for.
As a Technical Analyst you will be helping resolve user’s issues with the technologies that we look after, deploying day to day changes and working with the senior members of the team to deliver projects and undertake the daily admin and periodic upgrades to our underlying infrastructure.
What you will bring
Specific vendor experience in the technology platforms we support would be beneficial; these include PaloAlto firewall, Citrix ADC, Citrix XenDesktop, Trend security suite, Aruba networking, Microsoft Azure/365, SCCM/Intune and Mitel/Teams telephony.
We realise that’s a big ask and if you have experience of any of these areas you could be the person for us. What’s most important is that you’re willing to learn, can use your initiative to solve problems and work as part of a team. There’s plenty of opportunity to develop in areas that aren’t already part of your skill set.
