Location: 65a Valley Road Northallerton
Vacancy Hours: Various + 12 month fixed term
Team Leader contract to cover for maternity leave from July 2022 up to, and
including, July 2023.
Salary: £22,627 - £24,982 per annum

We
currently have a full time opportunity for a Team Leader to join 65a Valley
Road based in Northallerton.
Valley Road
is a Short Breaks service that plays a vital role in offering respite stays
to a range of people with complex needs. We work
hard to ensure people are engaged with their communities and live meaningful
and fulfilled lives where they feel a genuine sense of belonging.
We believe that everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling
life, and our respite service will enable people and their families to build
skills, develop confidence, and give people the opportunity to maximise their
wellbeing through person centred approaches.
You will need to have an understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and
awareness of Sensory Needs and environmental Preferences
As a team leader, reporting directly
to the registered manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the direct
care and support provided by a team of Learning disability Support Workers within
the service is safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led and complies
with both the Care Quality Commission regulated activities and NYCC policies
and procedures.
The service will be delivered around the clock on a 24/7 basis so
you will be expected to work a variety of shifts, which would include days,
evenings, weekends, sleep ins and the
potential to cover a night shift if required.
Whilst we require an NVQ level 3 in Care/Promoting Independence or
CQF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, we will support those who have
a minimum of NVQ Level 2 Care/Promoting Independence or QCF Level 2 Diploma in
Health and Social Care to achieve the Level 3 within 12 months of commencing in
post.
