Social Worker - Looked After Children - Scarborough

Salary: £29,636 - £34,788 per annum pro rata 
Location: North Yorkshire House. The service very much promotes flexible working with the ability to work remotely from other bases, as well as working from home. 

We are looking for social workers to join our strong performing Looked After Children and Permanence team, covering the East of North Yorkshire, based in Scarborough.

The Looked After Children’s Team is responsible for the wellbeing and progress of looked after children and Permanence Care Planning for Children in the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area, as well as some children placed outside of the county. 

As Social Worker will be responsible for progressing plans for permanence where the child is not going to remain a looked after child, e.g adoption. The team undertakes the majority of care proceedings for the East of the county and uses a Signs of Safety approach to assess and manage risk to children. You will be part of a highly-acclaimed supportive service who work hard to produce the best outcomes for looked after children. You will receive a comprehensive programme to ensure new recruits have a thorough induction, receive ongoing support from managers and have the opportunity to progress in your career.
