Associate Educational Psychologist

Salary: Soulbury A (2 to 7), £39,062 to £48,383, plus access to up to three SPA points
Location: Associate work is available across the four hubs across the county in Selby; Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and Craven; Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale; and Hambleton and Richmondshire.
Hours: Relief/Casual contract, flat hourly rate (plus holiday entitlement) 

The core focus of this role is to undertake duties for the North Yorkshire Educational Psychology Service in order to support effective service delivery, apply psychology and promote efficient inclusion for children and young people ages 0-25 and facilitate the delivery of a psychological service to schools, settings and their communities within North Yorkshire. 


As Associate Educational Psychologist you will deliver personalised casework that puts the child and family at the centre, support the balance in the locality EPS team between core/traded and statutory work and provide outstanding quality, child focused advice for statutory assessments in a timely manner. 

You will need to have:

  • A masters or doctorate level qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the HCPC;
  • Experience of varied and relevant work with children, young people and their families in a number of education and other settings; and
  • Creative and forward thinking, with the knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and willingness to use psychological frameworks to facilitate positive change.
