Harrogate. Music Centre are looking to employ 2 experienced Ensemble
Directors to inspire musicians young and old at HMC
Post 1 – Vocal Specialist to work with our Adult Choir “The Accidentals” and to help establish a new ensemble, this could be a choir or another ensemble depending on the skill set of the appointed candidate.
Post 2 – To lead the Chamber Orchestra. Working with around 30 young musicians. The Musicians range from Grade 4 through to Grade 8 standard.The successful candidates will be confident leading and conducting ensembles, display strong rehearsal technique and have an extensive and varied knowledge of suitable repertoire. Successful candidates will be organised and hardworking and be happy to work both individually and as part of the Harrogate Music Centre team, sharing the vision to develop and contribute to the success of the organisation.
Both ensembles meet on Saturday mornings during term time, for 30 weeks per year. They additionally perform regularly and remission is payable for all additional hours worked in this respect.
Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
