Senior Early Help Consultant
1 x FTE post – East (covering Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale)
Full time (37 hours per week)
Base – North Yorkshire House, Scarborough
£46,549 - £50,543 per annum
We are looking to recruit an experienced manager who is supportive, resilient and highly motivated to join the East - Early Help Team to embed Early Help Strategy across schools and other key partner agencies including the voluntary sector.
Early Help is part of North Yorkshire County Council’s Children & Families Service. We work alongside children, young people and their families up to the age of 19 (25 years when there is an identified SEND need). We are a consent-based service focused on offering the right support at the right time. Our work is strength based and underpinned by our ‘Strength in Relationships’ practice model where we work alongside other relevant agencies to ensure we support families to create their own sustainable family plans that really make a difference. We provide interventions to children, young people and their families, drawing on their strengths and helping to build support networks as well as statutory work for those open to Children’s Social Care and Youth Justice.
As Senior Early Help Consultant, the post holder will be responsible for the direct line management of the Early Help Consultants and Practice Co-ordinators alongside providing support, guidance and training to practitioners within the community in their work with children young people and their families. A key element of this role will be the embedding of the delivery of the Early Help support within a geographical locality building a network of support within the community.
