Post: Female Support Worker (It is an occupational requirement that Females only work with this individual)

Hours: 37.5 hrs, Part Time Minimum 24hrs
Salary: £10.00 per hour
Positive Individual Proactive Support are looking for caring female support workers like YOU to join their passionate and hard-working team in Northallerton.
Within this incredibly rewarding role you will be supporting a young adult with high functioning Autism who requires support with their emotional wellbeing, physical health needs, support to attend college (soon to be university) and teaching and encouraging independent living skills. The young adult also loves animals so dog lovers are a must and you should enjoy days out at festivals, dog walking, cinema and pubs/restaurants.
Due to the nature of this young adult’s day to day life, it would be preferable for applicants to have a full driving licence although a vehicle is not essential as the young adult has their own vehicle which you can drive. Candidates must aged 21 or over, be good listeners, empathic, calm in nature, have a good sense of humour and be able to work as part of a team and lone working.
The young adult that you will be supporting requires 24/7 support, shifts are 12 hours, day shifts are 07.15 hrs – 19.45 hrs and night shifts are 19.15 hrs – 07.45 hrs, applicants must be able to work a mixture of shifts.

The role involves supporting people to live active lives in the community, managing their daily living skills, facilitating their hobbies and interests and helping people realise their dreams!
We provide person centred individualised care with a focus on the model of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS)!
You will receive a 2-week induction and learn about PBS, understanding communication and behaviour, how to teach skills and enable people to live the lifestyle that they wish!
A workplace induction follows which enables you to learn how to support the individual in the way they wish. We will fund staff to complete the Level 3 Health & Social Care. We have a leadership pathway for those who have the right ambition, skills and aptitude which can take you from Support Worker to Team Leader and beyond!
