Working at Oaklands Leeming Bar, you will assist adults with learning disabilities to lead an independent lifestyle, while providing support to manage their day-to-day care needs; to develop impulse control; as well as to manage their behaviour and reactions to their emotional experiences.

Residents at Oaklands have complex needs and communicate in different ways so supporting them effectively is essential, giving a consistent responses and appropriate action when individual needs change, following a person centred approach to supporting the adults who live here. Oaklands have a proven track record of providing a high standard of person-centred care - currently holding a 'Good' rating by CQC to back up their reputation.

Opened in 2016 Oaklands is a purpose built care home that provides care for up to eight people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder, and has a sensory garden with a swing, trampoline, water features, edible planting.

We are currently expanding our team and recruiting support workers and senior support workers to work on a full time basis - this will include weekend working on a rota. You will need passion, dedication and commitment to caring for adults with a learning disability along with good communication skills and a friendly personality.

No experience is required for the support worker position as full training will be provided along with additional support.
