Salary: £35,745 - £39,880 pro rata per annum
Location: Sandpiper House, Selby. The service very much promotes flexible working with the ability to work remotely from other bases, as well as working from home. 

Hours: Full-time/ 37 hours

We have opened up our experienced social work bands to include the new and exciting role of Advanced Practitioner. This is a critical role in our teams and in our continued drive for placing children at the centre of all the work we do. We are looking for an experienced social worker 3 years post qualified or more, who is practice rich with a proven track record of providing children and families with an excellent service. North Yorkshire has a clearly defined practice model and the team is committed to work with children and their families/carers, using a range of solution focussed, strength based relationship practice models, including Signs of Safety, Systemic theory and the Family Finding approach. We are looking for individuals who can help us continue to offer a unique service and truly make a difference to the young people of our county.

The Advanced Practitioner role is vital for supporting practice, including newly qualified social workers and helping drive team development; sharing practice wisdom and supporting the development of the next generation of practitioners alongside students and other staff at an earlier stage in their career, offering mentoring and coaching as well as practice education. As part of this role you will be contributing to the quality of social work practice, role modelling good practice in your own casework, share your knowledge and skills within your team including in depth technical and practice knowledge of social work practice.

Enthusiastic, highly motivated and robust advanced practitioner to join our teams in Selby. You will be working in a team that is constantly trying to improve outcomes for safeguarding and looked after children and supporting their families.

You will be suitably qualified (DIPSW/CQSW/Masters/Degree in Social work) practice educator qualifications, have competed NAAS or be willing to undertake this as well as being able to evidence skills and knowledge in line with the job specification. You will have a passion for working with young people and creating brighter futures for them and their families and contribute to the on-going development of our high standards of practice.
