As a Systems Development Officer you will be part of a large team of in Corporate Systems. Our team’s overall aim is to ensure the effective operation, support and development of a number of key management information systems. 

Based in Northallerton you will be working in a team who strives to foster a friendly and professional working environment where individual effort and team work is recognised and valued both by customers and colleagues alike.

You will predominantly be working with Early Help and Social Care systems but will act as a lead for nominated systems so that you can truly become a system expert to shape design, develop and implement enhancements and new functionality to meet business needs and statutory requirements. You will also be responsible for the successful testing and implementation of any new bespoke system development components and upgrade changes, as well as providing a professional, high quality second line support service. Knowledge of Children’s Social Care would be beneficial for this role.
 
Serving a workforce in excess of 20,000 people based in locations across North Yorkshire as well as external partners, we would be interested in hearing from you if you have significant experience in supporting, implementing and developing large information systems, a technical system design background as well as data manipulation and integrity expertise. As an IT professional excellent customer service and relationship building skills are a must.

Please note that occasional out of hours working may be required to support system upgrades and changes, as well as occasional travel to other NYCC sites and supplier events.
