Reablement plays a major part in reshaping the future of care and support - helping people to live longer, healthier and more independent lives. It differs from the traditional residential care associated with care work. Supporting people to do things for themselves again, by maintaining and improving independence enabling more fulfilled lives in their own homes.
Reablement centres on recovery, supporting people with personal goals to be achieved typically over a 6 week period. Using a therapy plan as your guide, you will work with service users to develop their skills and confidence to achieve daily independent living. There may be an element of personal care however this is just a small part of the role. Your focus will be to enable each individual to achieve their goals and regain their health and independence. Working with other colleagues such as Occupational Therapists and Social Workers, you will contribute to person centred support plans and ongoing progress reviews.
This is an extremely rewarding role where you can realise the impact of the great work you do on a daily basis - you could be part of our team and share these great experiences with the people you support.
Shift patterns include a range of early shifts (approx. 7am - 2pm), late shifts (approx. 4pm - 10pm) and weekend working. If you’ve got experience, that’s great, we’d love to hear from you. If not, don’t worry, we’ll give you all the help and support you need to settle in quickly.
If you do not already hold the Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care that isn’t a problem we will support you to achieve this through our apprenticeship training route.
We also offer a wide range of other staff benefits, some of which include:
- Enhancement for weekend working / night working
- Starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications
- Training and support which will include minimum training to Level 2 in Social Care
- Competitive rate of pay with pay progression
- Access to range of salary sacrifice schemes and discounts including green car scheme, childcare vouchers and home
Given the nature of the role you must have the ability to drive across own and neighbouring teams to work in the homes of adults with care & support needs.
If you like what you see and feel that you have what we are looking for we look forward to hearing from you!
