We are looking for full-time Carers and Support Workers within Easingwold and surrounding areas.

Requirements:

·       Must be eligible to work in the UK

·       A car and full UK Driving license essential

·       Care experience is an added advantage but not essential. We employ for attitude and train for competence.

 

Responsibilities:

As a Holistic Care 4U Carer you are responsible for looking after people (Service Users) who need help due to disability, age, illness or frailty. You work with both young and old adults meeting various needs in their day to day life. These include:

·       Helping with personal care such as support with showering or washing, dressing and changing pads

·       Supporting Service Users with medication, making meals, eating and drinking, laundry and cleaning.

·       Supporting Service Users with social and physical activities

·       Implementing the care plan and looking for opportunities to improve and personalise it

Skills

·          A desire to help people

·          Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload

·          Good listening and communication skills

·          Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures

·          Being patient and tactful.

·          Able to deal with people from different backgrounds / good interpersonal skills.

 

Qualifications / Requirements

·       Good English, numeracy and writing skills

·       A social care qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is an advantage
