Resource Centre Worker - (SSN0401)

Grade - F - G
Vacancy Hours - 18.5 per week
Contract Type - Permanent

We are looking for part time staff to join our committed team at Morton on Swale Children’s Resource Centre.

We need passionate, creative, enthusiastic and highly skilled, child focussed professionals with a positive approach and an understanding of safeguarding practice in a registered childcare setting.

We need effective communicators, who can change the way they work to engage young people who may not use words to speak.

You should have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare (NVQ3 equivalent) or the willingness to complete an apprenticeship as part of your role to a level 4 standard.

You will need to demonstrate good recording skills, IT skills and an ability to work within professional boundaries.

Morton on Swale Children’s Resource Centre provides support to children and young people with disabilities by offering short breaks and day care to them and support them to access local facilities, and have adventures. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about involving all of our young people within the community.

Many young people we support have autism with varying levels of challenging behaviours. Some young people have complex health needs requiring additional support with moving and transferring, and some medical procedures for which you would receive training.

The role requires staff to work shift work with early mornings, evenings, sleep ins and waking nights.

Part time staff are required to work 26 weekends per year to meet the needs of the service. Weekends and school holidays are our busiest times. We plan our rota across the month rather than week by week so, your hours will be planned as a full month.

In return for your commitment to us, you will work within a supportive and child focussed team, receive regular training, supervision, appraisal and have lots of fun.

The starting salary is £20,493

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further please contact Lisa Forbes, Manager on 01609  532129. It would be helpful to discuss anything around hours and shift patterns prior to application if you feel you need to.

To apply, please click the link below or send your CV to resourcingsolutions@northyorks.gov.uk

We look forward to hearing from you.

Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
