Salary: £27,741 to £30,451

Location: Northallerton (Currently Remote Working)

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Adviser to join our Pay, Reward and Policy Team.  This is a newly created role following the expansion of the team.

The team is a specialist function within the Human Resources and Organisational Development Service. They act as subject matter experts and play a vital role in attracting, retaining and engaging employees through development of the total rewards package that we offer to our employees; including salaries, leave entitlements, salary sacrifice schemes and benefits that extend beyond the boundaries of the employment relationship.  The team also reviews and develops Corporate HR policies to support our workforce and our strategic priorities, taking into account best practice and legislative requirements.

 

About the role

 

Working within a supportive and experienced team of HR professionals, you will draw on your excellent advisory skills and knowledge of HR initiatives to play a key role in delivering a professional service to managers and colleagues on a diverse range of HR matters related to policy, pay, reward and terms and conditions.

 

You will provide a proactive consultancy service to our internal and external customers, draw on your HR skills and experience to deliver professional advice and challenge, and produce workforce data, information and reports.

 

Working across a range of HR activities at any one time, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to, and leading on, assignments and projects.  This can range from pay benchmarking, job evaluation and workforce data governance activities through to promoting employee benefits and reviewing policies/processes to make recommendations for change; and lots in between!

 

You will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills through collaborating with our network of over 100 HR professionals who work on varied agenda to support our large, complex and highly regarded public section organisation.

What you will bring.

You will have a detailed knowledge of a range of HR practices and associated employment legislation and a good understanding of the practical application of HR policies and procedures.

 

Through your effective research and data analytics skills, you will be able to demonstrate that you can gather meaningful workforce information and go on to produce relevant conclusions and recommendations that can influence others and their chosen course of action.

 

You will have experience of successfully contributing to, and leading on, assignments and projects in which you have utilised your effective communication and problem solving skills and produced innovative solutions.
