An opportunity has arisen to join a small but busy hospitality team in the southern part of the Yorkshire Dales.
Located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Pateley Bridge, Bewerley Park Centre is owned and managed by North Yorkshire County Council. The centre has been providing residential outdoor learning for the children and young people of North Yorkshire and beyond for over 80 years.
You will join a hospitality team which ensures that all our customers experience good food in a home away from home and can take part in outdoor and adventure learning having been well fed and rested at the centre.
No two days are the same, and can vary from small numbers of day visitors to over 100 residents staying for up to a week. Your role is to support the caterers in preparing and serving breakfasts and dinners to guests, and to ensure that rooms are clean and welcoming on return at the end of a busy day. You will also be involved in managing laundry and linen on change over days and take responsibility for the cleanliness and tidiness of communal rooms.
In order to provide an appropriate service to customers, the hospitality team work either breakfast or dinner shifts each day. Occasional weekend working is also a requirement and rotas are arranged to ensure that time off is taken in the preceding or following weeks.
There are both full and part time positions available for this role with the opportunity to work additional overtime hours when the centre is busy, most often during the weekdays of the summer and early autumn terms.

Whilst previous hospitality experience is an advantage, it is not essential, and training will be provided. In addition a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Clearance is an essential requirement for appointment.
