We require an Advanced Teaching Assistant to work as part of the Learning Support Team, with a focus on supporting students with Communication and Interaction needs throughout the school. Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or any other equivalent), good communication skills, initiative and discretion are essential. Relevant experience is an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to support 1:1 and small groups in the classroom and through intervention groups. Approximately 50% of the working week would be spent supporting students in class with the remaining time given to intervention groups, support for students based in the Learning Support Hub and production / monitoring of Learning Plans for students formally identified as K code for C&I.
In our last inspection in October 2017, Ofsted judged the school to be 'Good' and stated leadership is ‘strong’, teaching is ‘good and improving’, behaviour is ‘good and improving further’, progress is above national averages.
