Senior Technician (Highways)

Salary:                Up to £35,000 per annum, experience dependant.

Location:            Hybrid and flexible working arrangement, with home working and in our Northallerton office. Some travel to other sites.

Contract:            Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday

Benefits:             25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays’, company pension and other benefits.

Align Property Partners is one of the largest multi-disciplinary organisations in the north of England.  We provide a huge range of “one stop shop” design, consultancy and engineering solutions to a wide range of clients right across the public and private sector.  We have exciting new projects coming up with both private and public sector clients across the North of England and now we are looking for a Senior Highway Technician to join us and be an integral part of our team.

We are looking for a Senior Highway Technician who can effectively and efficiently to provide technical support and deliver efficient and cost-effective projects working with our Local Authority Partners, North Yorkshire Council and private sector clients as well.

 

With your experience of using Auto CAD (or similar design software) on other Highway design you will provide technical support such as data collection and analysis, technical surveys and analysis.  Working with the rest of the Highway team you will contribute to the delivery of Highways projects that Align has, from the start through to completion.

Using your good communication skills you’ll be able to advise other members of the team on engineering principles as well as working collaboratively with members of Align’s multi disciple workforce and our clients.  If you have worked in a design consultancy environment previously, this will give you a real advantage.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

 

·       ONC in Civil Engineering or equivalent

·       The design, specification and delivery of highway projects in accordance with current guidelines, standards and specifications relating to the delivery of designs

·       Experience of using AutoCAD or similar design software programmes
