Apprentice Social Worker

A great opportunity to join our excellent organisation as an Apprentice Social Worker!

 

-        Are you currently working with children and families and think you might want to become a social worker? Make sure you tell us why in your application

-        We are looking to recruit 5 Apprentice Social Workers to work across our teams based in the Scarborough locality. These include the family assessment and support teams and the children in care teams covering the east of the county (Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale locality). You need to live in this local area to apply for this role.

-        Join us as a ‘child and family worker’.  You will undertake a three year social work degree (as an Apprentice Social Worker) in a team where you will remain for a minimum of two years once you qualify.

 

What do you need?

 

-        Experience of direct work with children and their families. You must be able to evidence that you have developed relevant social work values, knowledge and skills (as these will be assessed at all stages of the recruitment and selection process). Click here for more details.

-        You must have the minimum academic requirement. Which is Maths and English Language at GCSE grade C (or equivalent).

-         A full driver’s licence (with use of a car) and the ability to travel around the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale area visiting children and their families.

-        You will need an enhanced DBS dated within one year prior to starting the programme.

-        £27,344 - £30,151 per annum pro rata.

-        Please be aware that the closing date for application forms is the 20th April 2023.

-        If you are successful and reach the next stage, you will receive a pre interview phone call the week commencing 24th April to explore your application form.
