Salary:   Up to £38,296

Hours - Full time or part time – Established

We are looking for Mental Health Social Workers who are ambitious to work closely in partnership with a variety of teams and agencies. As a Mental Health Social Worker you have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Trust (TEWV). Which will involve working with service users on an inpatient psychiatric ward as well as community outreach. You’ll benefit from being part of a multidisciplinary team of diverse disciplines, including Approved Mental Health professionals, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, support time recovery workers, occupational therapists to name a few

“I’ve worked for North Yorkshire County Council as a qualified social worker since 2017. Since this time I have worked within a number of teams which have all been supportive and nurturing. I have been supported to complete my Practice Educator, Best Interests Assessor and Approved Mental Health Professional training as well as in house and commissioned training. Our Mental Health Social Work roles present great opportunities for those who are looking for diversity in their work. You will act as Safeguarding Enquiry Officer, undertake Mental Capacity Assessment and Best Interests decision making, and be responsible for complex case management. There may also be the opportunity for you to train as an Approved Mental Health Professional as posts become available.

Collaborative partnerships will be key to the role. You will benefit from routine supervision from a dedicated line manager, with opportunity for constructive feedback and reflection on practice.
