Hours: Full-time/ 37 hours

Contract: 2 year Fixed Term

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Restorative Practice and Stronger Foundations Team for a Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Level 4 Apprentice.

The Apprenticeship will offer an opportunity to work with these teams by supporting families. The aim is to build positive, sustained relationships with families, using strengthening families and restorative models.

A key element will be to work in partnership with families to minimise the risk of children being involved in potential criminal exploitation.

You will be supported and mentored to adopt Restorative Practice and Stronger Foundation approaches. As an apprentice, you will be part of a supportive team and you will receive professional supervision.

The post holder must be committed to completing the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship, which will require dedication, commitment to your own development and a drive to achieve.

To successfully complete the Apprenticeship, you will need to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English, equivalent to GCSE Grade C-A*(4-9), which will be delivered as part of the Apprenticeship programme. If you have previously achieved and can evidence this you will be exempt from having to complete this element.

To be considered for this Apprenticeship, applicants must have already achieved Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English, equivalent to a GCSE Grade E-D (2-3) as a minimum.

The position is for up to 24 months, this will be reviewed after 18 months, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to earn whilst they learn as part of the Apprenticeship. In addition, work related travel expenses will be paid.
