North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NYSCP) are seeking a Safeguarding Children Partnership Manager. This is a highly influential role in helping to ensure we achieve the very best outcomes for children and young people across North Yorkshire.

 

As Partnership Manager, you will have a commitment to shared values and the common purpose of developing a culture of interagency working. You will be a creative leader with the vision and drive to meet challenges and work successfully with the Local Authority, Integrated Care Partnership, Police and wider relevant organisations.

 

The statutory function of the NYSCP is to co-ordinate and embed safeguarding practice within organisations across multi-sector, whilst also ensuring effectiveness of practice and with the aim of ensuring all children in North Yorkshire are safe, happy, healthy and achieving as set out in the Being Young in North Yorkshire Strategy 2021-24. It also provides independent scrutiny of practice, policy and procedures across the county, scrutinising and challenging to ensure practice is reviewed from all angles, seeking assurance to ensure all partners have adequate and robust safeguarding procedures.

 

The core focus of this role is to be provide strategic support and direction to the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership. To ensure the work of the partnership impacts on and influences positive outcomes for children and young people, and ensure the work across the partnership is consistent with statutory guidance and be able to hold partners to account.

 

What you will bring;

 

            Significant experience of children’s safeguarding either through the Police/ Social Care or Clinical Commissioning Group sectors (or safeguarding children experience within partner agencies).

            An oversight of the partnership arrangements ensuring effective safeguarding.

            Detailed knowledge of current child care legislation, current safeguarding children policies, practice and current research.

               •            Detailed knowledge of performance management, including audit and statistical analysis

            Significant experience of managing staff at a senior level within a statutory Child Protection Services and working with a range of agencies and organisations within the statutory and voluntary sector, strategic, planning and partnership development.

            Ability to lead change programs, improve service quality and support a culture that drives up standards and performance

            Possess exceptional influencing skills, innovation and forward thinking to identify opportunities and help drive a culture of continuous safeguarding improvement.

            Ability to conduct yourself in a way befitting our culture; acting with integrity, leading by example, with enthusiasm and strong ambition.

            You will be able to make an instant impact in a high profile, demanding and complex environment, with clarity of focus.

            A dynamic, proactive organised individual who is an excellent communicator – both verbally and written, with ability to forge strong business partnerships, motivating and empowering others.
