Salary: £27,741 to £30,451

Hours: Full time

Location: County Hall, Northallerton

We are looking for a Street Works Coring inspector to join us, this is a fantastic opportunity for self-starters with experience in Highways and Traffic Management and knowledge of current legislation relating to Street Works.

As part of the Street Works Team you will be based out of County Hall, Northallerton. There will be a particular focus on a reinstatement-coring regime in order to check compliance and with the preparation of associated technical reports. For the winter maintenance period you will assist with the provision of an out-of-hours winter service

 

You will also assist with the overall Street Works management and inspection regimes undertaken under The New Roads and Street Works Act (1991) and The Traffic Management Act (2004).

Whilst an ONC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject having a supervisor and operative accredited (City & Guilds/SCOTVEC) is desirable, it is not essential.  An understanding of or experience with coring operations would be an advantage, as would familiarity with NRSWA (1991), TMA (2004), winter service experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  Familiarity with the geography of North Yorkshire would also be an advantage.
