Senior Social Workers form part of our wider Practice and Integration Team and we are excited to be able to offer a permanent opportunity, to a registered, qualified, experienced Social Worker, who is looking to take on the challenge of supporting and promoting best practice in the Selby area.

We will lead on quality assuring social work and social care practice to ensure that the highest standard of practice is embedded across the organisation. This will be done by providing skilled and experienced leadership and practice knowledge to social workers and social care practitioners, the organisation and its partners.

We will be dedicated and visible across North Yorkshire to ensure that there is professional practice oversight in place to lead, oversee, support and develop outstanding practice and in turn lead the development of excellent social workers and social care practitioners.
We are looking for someone who will be able to:
-Participate and deliver on different projects to the standards and values of Social Work
-Confidently speak in public, present, lead on workshops and facilitate different forums
-Challenge effectively with colleagues at different leadership levels and is open to challenge and debate
-Actively listen, whilst recognising and drawing on the strengths and knowledge in the wider Practice and Integration Team
-Be open minded, transparent and honest, identify own knowledge gaps and seek to find the answer through an asset based approach
-Continually learn, using different sources of evidence-based practice, research, reflection and development opportunities to inform own and others professional decision making
-Be a practice lead on specialist topics, to promote best practice County Wide
-Contribute to the Team work plan and take pride in the quality of own work

Senior Social workers are involved in different programmes of work across Adult Social Care. You will be required to be flexible, adaptable and willing to travel County Wide depending on the needs of the service, maintaining visibility in the Selby teams. You will work under the leadership of the Principal Social Worker, who will line manage you.
