Who we are?

The Service Development Team is an engine room for commissioning, service transformation and improvement.  The Team consists of Strategic Service Development Managers, Senior Service Development Officers and Service Development Project Officers who have responsibility for a locality and a defined strategic portfolio. 

  • People are at the heart of what we do, ensuring access to services that are inclusive and equitable.
  • We encourage place-based local care and developing strong local relationships.  We gather intelligence from each of our localities around areas for development or gaps in service to inform our future plans.  
  • We create opportunities to encourage system-wide leadership
  • We continually strive to develop services which are truly co-produced with our partners, ensuring equal partnership between people who use services, carers and wider stakeholders, whilst raising the ambition to strive for innovation and always thinking of new ways of working.

 What do we do?

Ø  Our role is to be a critical friend to ensure we champion people who use our services, deliver value for money and efficiency throughout Health and Adult Services, working with the Practice Team, Care and Support and partner organisations.

Ø  Service Development has recently embarked on an ambitious programme to transform the way we commission and deliver services, which includes the following portfolios; residential & nursing care, home based support, community based support, complex care services.

Ø  We work with wide range of stakeholders to collectively define our ambition for service development to achieve positive outcomes for people.
