The Business Change team plays a significant role within the County Council; helping it shape and deliver measurable enhancements to meet our various customers’ needs and in support of our digital agenda.  The team provides impartial expertise and business analysis skills, working closely with key stakeholders to shape requirements, and with our Architecture team to enable the identification, design and development of appropriate solutions to meet business needs.

We are looking to recruit a Business Change Analyst who will be pivotal in working closely, as part of project teams, with colleagues in our Technology and Change department.  They will be able to deliver fit-for-purpose detailed analysis to shape, support and manage a wide portfolio of change projects.

One of our key values is customer focus and you will work closely with our customers, including citizens of North Yorkshire and partner organisations, to understand their needs and represent how we engage with them to give excellent customer experience; resolving identified business problems and opportunities.

We are seeking someone with demonstrable experience of using business analysis skills; bringing enthusiasm and great customer-facing skills to help deliver an ambitious and exciting programme of digital and operational transformation.   This role represents an opportunity to work on a wide portfolio of work, across a variety of council service areas; helping identify, define and plan changes to deliver service improvements. You will play a key role in the next few years of change that will shape and deliver value for the council and for the benefit of our customers.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders at all levels, delivering analysis including detailed business requirements, customer journey mapping, as-is and to-be analysis; along with facilitating workshop sessions.   The outcome of this is to aid the translation of non-technical information into deliverable work packages for our technical teams and partners to deliver appropriate solutions.

You will have knowledge and understanding of business analysis methodology, such as formal process mapping methods, BPR and requirements engineering.  As well as this we will be expecting you to have a BCS business analysis foundation certificate or equivalent demonstrable experience.

We are looking for you to bring excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven stakeholder management skills. This role will require you to work as part of a wider team, while taking responsibility for individual workload. Understanding how you individually fit in to the wider team and working with a range of business, customer and technical stakeholders will be crucial to being successful in this role.
